The year 2022 began with the Federal Government lifting a ban on the microblogging site, Twitter, months after it was suspended. Then came the Russia-Ukraine war, which claimed lives, property and is still on with its effects being felt globally.
Then, the death of a young lady, Bamise Ayanwola, who was found dead after boarding a bus belonging to the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit scheme, thus exposing the dangers that passengers face.
Then there was the horrifying Abuja-Kaduna train attack, cold-blooded killings in the St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.
On the political scene, ‘Emi lo kan’ became a slogan. The Queen of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II died and World 100m hurdles champion and record holder, Tobi Amusan, ensured that Nigeria ‘buga’ on the world stage.
