I have known many African orators and Historians in my Life journey.
Professor Kenneth Dike, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Premier University of Ibadan an affiliate of the great University of London was one.
So was Professor Saburi Biobaku who went from Deputy VC to Professor Ajose at my Alma Mater, the great University of Ife now renamed Obafemi Awolowo.
Historian Biobaku had gone from Ife to become the Vice Chancellor of the great University of Lagos as I recall.
As great as the two Professors were, I rank them as being on the same pedestal with Professor Lumumba the keynote speaker in the video you are about to watch below.
Professor Lumumba has proved with empirical evidence that the Bible has been misused by our colonial masters and their Missionaries to deceive and to conquer Africa and to divide Africa following their Treaty of Berlin.
He has deposed with clarity that the same Bible still continues to be used till now to hoodwink us and that it is time for us to wake up from our slumber and to realize that we have been taken for a ride for far too long and we must try to chart a new course for ourselves in the new year.
We would remain Christians but learn to be less gullible about the Bible and what we are all made to believe it is saying to us as claimed by some of our so- called Prophets and Pastors among us like Marcus Tibetan and so many others who frequently use quotations from the same Bible written thousands of years ago to explain what is happening today in our homes and backyard and we are all supposed to shout “Ranka Dede”
If you believe that, you will believe anything.
You will, in fact, believe it, if I tell you I have an Island to sell to you in the Pacific Ocean!
The same truth can be applied mutatis mutandi to the interpretation of the Koran by our Muslim brothers and sisters across the board as well.
Yes, the Bible and the Koran are divinely inspired Books of Faith. No question about that.
Nobody in his or her right mind can dispute that but we must use our brains and wisdom in interpreting or processing everything we are told I believe is what the eloquent and the erudite Professor Lumumba is saying in the powerful video below for your listening pleasure as we all enter the Crossover phase of the Year 2022 to move into the Year 2023.
