Former France striker, Louis Saha has warned Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani they need to be careful over joining Manchester United.
Thuram and Kolo were among the players Didier Deschamps introduced in the second half of their World Cup final defeat to Argentina on Sunday.
Thuram and Muani replaced Olivier Giroud and Ousmane Dembele and both players gave France a much-needed boost.
The European giants fought their way back into a thrilling 3-3 draw, only to suffer a heart-breaking 4-2 defeat on penalties.
Thuram has scored 13 goals in 17 appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach while Muani has netted eight in 22 for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Thuram is now in the final six months of his contract at his Bundesliga club and has been linked with a move away from Gladbach with United said to be in the front line to sign him for as little as €12million next month.
But Saha hopes they can see the project Erik ten Hag is building at Old Trafford and have faith in the work being done behind the scenes and on the pitch.
“Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani made a brilliant contribution to the game [against Argentina] in very difficult circumstances,” Saha told Paddy Power.
“At this moment in time, young players moving to Manchester United need to be cautious because we have seen some really good players struggle at United. I’m not saying they shouldn’t join because of that, but it’s a difficult time,” he added.
