France midfielder, Paul Pogba, has spoken for the first time after he was prohibited from attending the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.
Pogba has instead sent his teammates a video message ahead of the final clash with Argentina on Sunday.
He said: “Well guys. For a second time guys…in the World Cup final. And this is the second time in a row. Here, I give you all my support, all my strength.
“And a final, you know, you don’t play it, you win it! So I wish you all the best. Good luck to you. Yes sir! Allez Les Bleus.”
France is looking to retain the trophy they lifted four years ago in Russia.
Pogba missed the tournament after undergoing surgery on his injured knee.
His Serie A club Juventus have banned him from making the long trip to Qatar, especially since he is not recovering quickly.
