Son of Nigeria’s rich man (omo baba olowo), David Adeleke from Ede, Nigeria known globally as Davido has been confirmed to perform at the closing ceremony of the Qatar world cup starting from 1400 hours West African Time at Lusail Stadium.
Davido was with singer Stone Bwony and Ghana Black Star’s Assistant Chief Coach, George Boateng in Dakar. He was said to have flown into Qatar quietly this week in his private jet.
First to confirm attendance of Davido is Chinese Businessman, Stephen Hung who wrote on his Instagram Handle that Davido will close the ceremony.
“So happy my brother @Davido confirmed he will be performing at the FIFA World Cup closing ceremony – can’t wait to see him there.”
Davido’s close ally, Cubana Chief Priest also confirmed the performance billing the first since Davido’s three year son, Ifeanyi Adeleke drowned in Lagos on October 31 which is currently being investigated by the Nigerian Police.
The ceremony starts at the 80,000 capacity Lusail Stadium at 2pm Nigerian time but the final match between title holders, France and Argentina is slated for 4pm. As at the time of reporting, FIFA was yet to release publicly details of the ceremonies.
Davido is expected to perform HAYYA HAYYA (BETTER TOMORROW) which is already in the Qatar world cup sound tracks while Indian Actress cum Muscian, Nora Fetehi will sing “LIGHT THE SKY” a song in Hindu.
Nigerian singer, Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe known in Music world as Kiss Daniel of Abeokuta Egbaland where legendary Afro beat King, Fela Anikulapo Kuti hails from had also rendered to a capacity crowd in Qatar his celebrated song, BUGA.
