Chelsea have dropped a hint that wonderkid Omari Hutchinson could be set to make his debut for the club against Bournemouth on December 27.

The 19-year-old, who is tipped to become a huge player in the future, moved to Chelsea in the summer from Arsenal but has not made his full professional debut just yet.

Hutchinson, who plays as a winger or attacking midfielder, has impressed in the development squad since his arrival at Stamford Bridge.

He has registered five goals and four assists across 11 Premier League 2 games, while in the EFL Trophy, Hutchinson has scored once and assisted twice across four matches.

Graham Potter, who replaced Thomas Tuchel as head coach in September, is a huge fan of Hutchinson and lauded him after a recently friendly against Aston Villa in which he played the full 90 minutes.

The Athletic have also reported that Hutchinson is highly rated by Chelsea’s youth coaches – with some even comparing him to Blues legend Eden Hazard.

He could be set to finally make his full debut for Chelsea when they take on the Cherries on December 27 in their first game after the World Cup in Qatar – with the Blues dropping a major hint via their YouTube page on Thursday.

The club published an exclusive interview with Hutchinson, revealing that he is now being further integrated into the first-team squad.

‘It’s been a great experience,’ Hutchinson said in the clip. ‘Getting used to the boys, their culture, and how they are in the building is very good for me and it’s going to benefit me in the long run.

‘[It has been] the best really, they’ve given me the freedom on the pitch, tell me to express myself, so [that is] all I could ask for really.’

Hutchinson was then specifically about preparing to face 14th-placed Bournemouth on December 27.

‘Every day I come into Chelsea I just want to work hard,’ he added.

‘Whether that’s with the U21s or the first team. I just want to benefit myself and just always working.’
