Argentina is favored to lift the World Cup in Qatar on Sunday on 18 December 2022.
This is coming from the Opinion polls conducted by newspot sport crews .
Two hundred sports enthusiasts were interviewed and 166 gave it to Argentina. Some reasons sampled from the polls showed Argentina have rebranded their style of play since they lost to Saudi Arabia at the start of the tournament.
Other reason given was the re energized spirit of Lionel Messi who is playing at the peak of his career and that the players also resolved to honour their late hero Diego Maradona with the cup they had not won before.
One of the interviewees said Messi would want to play his heart out to lift the cup to honour his country and to say goodbye to World Cup tournaments.
