Tottenham could be without Richarlison for the next month after the striker played on with a hamstring injury during Brazil’s World Cup exit to Croatia.

The former Everton star sustained a hamstring issue in the warm-up for his country’s last-eight clash against Croatia on Friday.

However, Richarlison started the match and featured for 84 minutes before he was substituted.

Richarlison missed the month before the World Cup started after suffering a calf issue in mid-October but he returned in time to impress in Qatar.

The Brazilian lead the line for his country, scoring three times before their exit.

He could have been in line to start for Spurs after the restart given Harry Kane has been given a week off following England’s exit.

But the Evening Standard say Spurs are braced to be without Richarlison for the next month after he was sent for a scan on his hamstring on Monday.

The forward returned to the club’s London training ground a week early to have the issue checked over.

Spurs face a trip to Brentford on Boxing Day before hosting Aston Villa in north London on New Year’s Day.
