A budding singer, Bukola Holo, aka Ohla, has said she loves encouraging women with my music so that they realize their true worth.

Speaking on the heels of the release of her debut seven-track Extended Play album titled, ‘Afro Icon’, the singer noted in a statement sent to Saturday Beats described the songs as a ‘bag of emotions’.

She said, “The EP is an inspirational, melodic, all-round afrobeats sound. I call it a beautiful bag of emotions put together to tell my story. I have always known what I want, which is to create something beautiful, relatable, memorable and iconic.

“I believe that the album will position me as one of the future stars to look out for.

“I want underprivileged people, especially girls and young ones, to listen to my sound and feel good about themselves. I want them to be proud of their roots and be brave at all times. It’s my own way of telling them not be scared. Rather, they should make moves and maintain their uniqueness, without bowing to societal pressure.”

The singer added that while growing up, she was influenced by diverse sounds and genres of music, and this was evident in her songs.

The EP features rapper, Vector; as well as singer-cum-producer, Mystro.
