The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has appointed the former Governor of the State, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi as the chairman of the main campaign committee that would ensure the success of the party in Zamfara north senatorial district.
The committee is charged with putting formidable strategies and effective measures on ground to ensure successful political activities in the zone, saying that the party expects a large turnout in every political activity of the committee.
This was disclosed to newsmen in Kaura Namoda town in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the State by the chairman of the main committee and former Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi.
The former Governor implored the stakeholders, party chieftains, members and well-wishers from the zone to support the committee in whichever way they could to make it an epoch event.
He said the aims and objectives of the committee are to clear the whole elective seats in Zamfara north senatorial district, saying that the committee would be ready to do everything within the law to ensure that it carries out the mandate given by the party in the state.
Reacting to the event, Ibrahim Muhammad Danmadami Birinin Magaji said the chairman of the publicity committee and all the subcommittees for the event have been working round the clock with a view to making it a huge success.
Birinin Magaji said that the event will see to the gathering of all APC supporters from the four Local Government Areas comprising Ƙaura Namoda, Birnin Magaji, Zurmi and Shinkafi to express their solidarity to the senator representing the zone in the National Assembly, senator Sahabi Ya’u Ƙaura.
“The occasion will be used to drum support for the State Executive Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle and all other APC candidates in the 2023 general elections in the zone”, he added.
“We are therefore calling on our teeming supporters to be law-abiding citizens as they have always been”
