Former France international, Patrice Evra, has picked Barcelona winger, Ousmane Dembele as the Les Bleus’ player of the tournament so far at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
According to Evra, Mbappe is doing more than Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe in France’s team at the World Cup.
France have been touted as one of the favourites to win the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The defending champions finished top of Group D with six points from three games after winning two out of their three group games.
In a chat with Betfair, Evra singled out Dembele as France’s player of the tournament.
“Ousmane Dembele is doing more than Mbappe,” Evra told Betfair.
“Dembele is destroying every fullback. For me, he’s the player of the tournament for France so far. I have been impressed with Antoine Griezman, he’s been a key player.”
The former Manchester United defender added, “Mbappe I am not surprised by him. He’s breaking records; he’s already on three goals.”
France play Poland in the round of 16 on Sunday at the Al Thumama Stadium on Sunday.
