The Netherlands face the USA today in the first round of 16 match at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Both sides emerged from the group stage unbeaten, with dark horses Holland topping Group A ahead of Senegal, Ecuador and Qatar as expected, with star forward Cody Gakpo in fine form.

The USA somewhat surprisingly finished runner-up to England in Group B, ahead of Iran and Wales, and are yet to concede a goal from open play, as they aim to make the quarter-finals for only the second time in their history.
