The Lagos State Government has expressed its plans to include more competent youths in leadership positions and governance of the state.

The state Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr Olusegun Dawodu, disclosed this, according to a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, during an event organised by the 2021/22 Lagos Youth Ambassadors in Alausa, Ikeja.

He said, “The door of the ministry is always open to the youths because we have the mandate to ensure their socioeconomic needs are catered for. We plan to include more competent youths in leadership positions and governance of the state.

“This is in tandem with the promise of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to give more space to the youths as part of his policy of inclusion and catch those young for leadership positions.”
