Former Super Eagles frontman Julius Efosa Aghahowa has revealed why Senegal fell 2-0 to the Netherlands in their first game of the Qatar 2020 World Cup.
According to Aghahowa, the African champions’ failure to convert their chances cost them the match.
The European’s goal came from the boots of PSV’s Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen.
“Senegal played very well but missed their scoring chances especially in the first half,” Aghahowa told Brila FM
“The Netherlands had only two and took their chances. That was the punishment for those missed chances.”
