Wamakko warns supporters against politics of bitterness

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has urged his supporters in Sokoto State not to play politics of rancour and bitterness ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Wamakko who is also the All Progressive Congres leader in the state stated this at his Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto shortly after returning from Abuja.

According to a statement signed by his special assistant on media and publicity, Bashar Abubakar, and made available to newsmen on Saturday.

Senator Wamakko said the campaign rallies have already commenced, saying there is a need for all party supporters to abide by the rules of the game.

He further urged them not to tamper with any political billboards or signposts of other political parties in the state.

Wamakko, who is also the senate committee chairman on Defence, also called on party members not to carry any weapon during the rallies. He said doing so contravenes the guidelines of the party manifesto.
