Brazilian sensation Endrick favours a move to Chelsea ahead of a host of other European giants with the Blues prepared to meet his €60million (£52.6m) release clause
The 16-year-old forward is one of the most sought-after talents in the game with Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain tracking his progress.
He will not be eligible to leave Brazilian side Palmeiras until he turns 18 in 2024 but already the race to secure his signature is well underway.
ESPN Brasil report that PSG tabled an opening offer of €45m for the teenager on Friday, one that was instantly rejected by Palmeiras.
PSG have signalled their intention to increase that offer to €60m which Chelsea have also promised to meet, according to the report.
While he will likely have a host of offers to choose from, Endrick’s current preference is to join Chelsea as he would like to play in the Premier League when he does leave his homeland.
It follows a report claiming that Graham Potter’s side have ramped up their charm offensive to sign the wonderkid, inviting his family to the club’s Cobham training ground and enlisting the help of Thiago Silva to sell the project.
With PSG and Chelsea making their moves, the report adds that Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to up their own efforts in the coming days to ensure they do not fall behind.
Endrick’s father, Douglas, recently played down suggestions that the forward had already agreed a move to Real Madrid and says he will evaluate all his offers in the coming weeks and months.
‘There’s nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We’ve no preference yet,’ revealed Endrick’s dad.
‘We’ll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy.’
Endrick, touted as the ‘new Neymar’, has already netted three times in just six top-flight appearances in Brazil – registering a goal or assist every 61 minutes.
