A Nigerian man who has a striking resemblance with popular singer, Asake, has lamented bitterly after he was mistaken for the Afrobeat musician in Abuja.
A video clip making rounds online shows the yet-to-be identified man, who dressed like the ‘Sungba’ crooner, hiding out in his friend’s car after some fans spotted him and thought it was Asake.
In the video, some men, presumed to be fans of the ‘Joha’ singer, were gathered around the car and refused to let them leave without dropping something (money) for them.
Asake’s doppelganger, who was fed up of the attention he was receiving, complained that he has spent a lot of money on tips since he stepped out dressing like Asake.
“Even the real Asake no go spend the kind money wey I don spend today“, he said, while his friend who was more concerned about his car, said he hopes the mob doesn’t damage his car or break his windscreen.
