Unknown bandits have reportedly abducted the District Head of Kwangwami under Moriki Emirate of Zurmi Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State.
It was learned that the traditional ruler was abducted by the terrorists alongside an unspecified number of people around 10:30 am on Monday 7 October 2022.
The kidnap took place when some locals were working on their farmlands .
The bandits have wreaked havoc across northwest Nigeria in the past two years, kidnapping thousands, killing hundreds, and making it unsafe to travel by road or farm in some areas.
