Arsenal stars Gabriel and Gabriel Martinelli are heading for World Cup heartbreak with the duo set to miss out on Brazil’s 26-man squad
The centre-back has been in fine form for the Gunners this term and scored the winner as Mikel Arteta’s side beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The former Lille defender had been hoping to force his way into Tite’s squad after forming a good partnership with William Saliba.
Brazil are blessed with plenty of quality at centre-back, with the likes of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Militao all battling for a starting berth.
Gabriel had hoped to be the final choice but Bruno Andrade says the defender is set to miss out on the 26-man squad.
Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus is set to be included, while Manchester United’s Antony appears to have beaten Martinelli to a spot.
Casemiro, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Fred and Alisson Becker are other notable Premier League inclusions, while Ederson and Bruno Guiamares are set to be called up.
