About the Geneva Challenge
The Geneva Challenge, officially known as the Advancing Development Goals International Contest, is an annual competition designed to encourage interdisciplinary problem-solving among graduate students worldwide. Initiated by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, this prestigious competition aims to tackle some of the most pressing development issues facing our world today.
Theme for 2025
The theme for the 2025 Geneva Challenge is: “(Insert Specific Theme Here – e.g., Climate Change Adaptation, Inclusive Health Systems, Digital Equity, etc.)”. This year’s theme invites students to propose innovative and practical solutions that address critical aspects of the chosen topic.
Eligibility
- Open to graduate students from around the world.

- Participants must be enrolled in a graduate program at the time of application.
Prizes

Application Process
