Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has said that he was disappointed in the second half of his team’s FIFA Women’s World Cup tie against the Republic of Ireland.
Waldrum insisted that he felt the Super Falcons could have won the match against Ireland.
Waldrum’s side drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland but qualified for the competition’s knockout phase for the third time.
Actually, in the second half, I was disappointed because I felt we could have won the match,” Waldrum told reporters.
“So, it almost feels disappointing that we did not get all three points, but all of us would have taken this result before we started the match, just to know we got through.
“That was the objective—getting to the knockout stages,” he added.
