The Abia State Presiding Officer, and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, Prof (Mrs) Nnenna Oti has come out to tell the world not to be used in falsifying the governorship and state house of assembly results.
She halted the collation of results in Abia State. According to her, she stopped the collation after they found out that there were irregularities in some polling units, particularly Obingwa Local Government Area where INEC office was invaded.
Prof Nnenna Oti assured the people of Abia State that she would not do anything to manipulate the process, stating that as a Pastor and a mother she would not permit anything that would affect the future of children in Abia State.
She vowed to do what is right in the sight of God and man.
In her words, she said:
“I’m Professor Nnenna Oti from Afikpo, VC of FUTO. The people’s mandate shall stand. I have spent all my adult life in pursuit of the ideals of good governance. We shall stand by the these principles. The pastor in me and the mother in me will not permit me to do anything that will adversely affect the future of our children. I shall do right by God and by man!.”
