11 DisCos collected N247.09bn in Q1 2023 – NERC

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) said the 11 electricity distribution companies collected N247.09 billion in the first quarter of 2023.

NERC disclosed this in its recent First Quarter 2023 report on its website.

“The total revenue collected by all DisCos in 2023/Q1 was N247.09 billion out of N359.38 billion billed to customers. It corresponds to a collection efficiency of 68.75 per cent, representing a decline of 4.58 per cent compared to 2022/Q4 (73.33 per cent),” the report stated.
