The once-unshakable bond between President Donald J. Trump and billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has erupted into a digital slugfest, filled with petty jabs, fiery denials, and eyebrow-raising accusations.
It all began when President Trump took to Truth Social, claiming he personally “asked Elon to leave” and revoked his government-backed electric vehicle mandates — implying Musk’s business model depended on federal force.
“Elon was wearing thin… I asked him to leave. I took away his EV mandate that forced people to buy electric cars they didn’t want — and he just went CRAZY!” — Trump wrote.
Elon Musk, never one to back down, fired back almost instantly on X (formerly Twitter), dismissing Trump’s remarks as pure fiction.
“Such an obvious lie. So sad.”
But then came the “big bomb,” as Musk called it.
“@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
The internet melted. 🚨
In a dramatic escalation, Trump ally Steve Bannon told The New York Times that Elon Musk should be investigated and possibly deported.
“I believe Elon is an illegal alien. He should be deported immediately. Full investigation!” — Bannon demanded.
And with that, the bromance officially hit the rocks.
🔊 Public Reaction Has Been… Electric:
“I warned my Uncle this bromance go crash like NEPA light, but he no gree believe me 😂”
“A bad breakup dey always scatter pass the love itself. See as dem dey drag each other 😅😅”
“Just watch—CNN go hug Musk now like long-lost pikin. Na dem call am Nazi last year o!”
“Abeg, I no dey put mouth. Make rich people finish their WWE match alone 😅”
“Yawa don gaszz o! Who go carry belt now? WWE or White House?”
Once champions of anti-establishment rebellion, Trump and Musk now seem like gladiators in a coliseum — both fighting for the crowd, the spotlight, and legacy.
